The Theater Festival, Music and Danza de San Javier returns to La Abadía that returns to the stage of Almansa park with its new production “Nekrassov”, the only comedy written by Jean-Paul Sartre, who directs the British Dan Jemmett. The work, which was written in 1955, wins validity in the current era of misinformation, post-truth and fake news, with its fierce criticism of the fourth power and its questioning about journalistic truthfulness and opinion manipulation public.


Sartre wanted to pick up in this works the historical context of the so-called Cold War, between The United States and Russia and incidentally a fierce criticism of the press. TO despite the humorous tone of the work, the French author who rejected the Nobel Prize for Literature, does not leave2008) and “El Café” (2013), faces the direction of “Nekrassov” from a philosophical approach between the false and the true, both individually and collectively. The cast, whose work has been praised by critics, after the premiere of the work in February past at the Teatro de la Abadía, Madrid, is formed by José Luis Alcobendas, Ernesto Arias, Carmen Bécares, Miguel Cubero, Palmira Ferrer, Clemente García and David Luque.
