The Virgen del Carmen went out in procession in Santiago de la Ribera

As tradition marks the Sunday following the feast of the Virgen del Carmen, the image of the Virgin comes in procession in Santiago de la Ribera, closing the celebrations of the neighborhood of the Fishermen that are included in the program of the festivities of Santiago from the Ribera. The acting Minister of Tourism and Culture, Miriam Guardiola and the new colonel director of the AGA, Manuel de la Chica joined today the mayor, José Miguel Luengo to the delegation who accompanied the Virgin from the Parroquia de Santiago to the pier where the maritime procession left in which he surrendered a tribute to the deceased sailors. At the end of the procession Angel Montesinos was distinguished as Fisherman of the Year
