The Jazz Festival of San Javier tomorrow offers a double concert with the great revelation of national jazz, Andrea Motis and the veteran Zenet

The trumpeter, saxophonist, Catalan singer and composer, Andrea Motis, a worldwide phenomenon of jazz at age 24, visits first time San Javier Jazz accompanied by its trusted musicians among which is the brilliant pianist Ignasi Terraza and the double bass player and saxophonist Joan Chamorro, his mentor since discovered with 12 years and with which he recorded his first six discs. With only 20 years the prestigious label Impulse! Records, for the one recorded by John Coltrane and Charles Mingus, among others, the hires to publish his first solo album "Emotional dance "that he recorded in New York with producers the likes of Brian Bacchus, producer of Norah Jones, which has been compared as a vocalist, and the Grammy winner for best album, Jay Newland.


Andrea Motis debuted as a composer including three themes own alongside versions of classic jazz themes, in its first solo album and seventh of his discography, which was just enlarge with his latest album "Do Outro Lado do Azul" published this year with the mythical seal Verve, in which it is immersed in the Brazilian music playing songs like "Antonico", by Ismael Silva, who sang Gal Costa, or Dança de Solidao, by Paulinho da Viola, among others. In his second album as a soloist he deepens in his facet of composer with three own themes, and surprises with a version of the "Mediterranean" by Joan Manuel Serrat.
