More than 70 women between 45 and 49 years old have passed today through the Mobile Unit for the Prevention of Breast Cancer of the AECC, in San Javier, to have a mammogram, within the campaign preventive that on the breast cancer carries out the AECC Murcia. The Councilor for Health, Isidoro Miñano thanked the delegation in San Javier of the Spanish Association Against Cancer activity that performs both preventive and attention to people affected by the disease.
Antonio Cerezuela, president in San Javier of the AECC, recalled that With this initiative, the mammography that After 50 years of age, he carries out Social Security, highlighting the importance of prevention and early detection in cancer. Cerezuela recalled that from the headquarters of the association, on the street Archena, of San Javier, are also offered other services of assistance and care that range from a social worker and a psychologist, to a pilates workshop for people who have suffered cancer in the last five years. Currently it is setting up a home assistance service for people who can not go to headquarters.
