Teatro del Matadero wins the award for Best Work and Best Director in the III Amateur Theater Competition "Francisco Rubio"

The Slaughterhouse Theater company, Murcia last night monopolized most of the prizes of the III Amateur Theater Competition "Francisco Rubio "from San Javier upon receiving the Best Work Award, endowed with 2000 euros and the Best Director, to Manolo Ortín, with 800 euros, for the "Landó of six horses". Also, his actor protagonist, José Ardid, received the highest recognition for his interpretation of Florencio.
The rest of trophies that recognize the best performances seen in the contest went to Mila Estepa for her role as Olivia in "Olivia and Ana. " The Best Supporting Actor was Pablo Martínez for his interpretation of Sosias in "Host" while Lorena Hernandez received the award for Best Supporting Actress for her Laura's role in "The Broken Unicorn".
The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez presided over the awards ceremony in an act, yesterday evening at the theater of the center "Prince of Asturias ", in which the love for theater and origins of the current International Festival of Theater, Music and Dance of San Javier, created 50 years ago by a group of young people local amateur actors, directed by Francisco Rubio, who gives name to the Contest.
