The Council of Health has relaunched the campaign of the Mosquito Tiger before the arrival of the heat and the closeness of summer with a series of practical and preventive advice aimed at the population at the same time participating in the Regional Surveillance System of the Mosquito Tigre promoted by the Ministry of Health of the Region of Murcia to which the Faculty of Biology has also joined this year from the University of Murcia, according to the mayor of Sanidad, Catalina Pérez.
The Department of Health began this week the diffusion of the campaign for the street markets of San Javier and Santiago de la Ribera with an information point together with the pest control company CTL, for the dissemination of a informative triptych that will be distributed massively among the population, since this type of mosquito usually lives, preferably, in the gardens of the houses.
Between other things it is recommended to avoid the presence of stagnant water, periodically emptying the containers that accumulate water as dishes of pots, vases, animal drinkers and other objects similar, or put upside down the containers that can accumulate rainwater such as cuba, wheelbarrows or showers, among others. The triptych, which includes tips for making a homemade trap, recommends the use of mosquito nets and repellents for the skin as Preventive measure to stings. Wash the sting and apply a disinfectant on it from
