The Fire Prevention Week will reach more than 2600 students from the nine schools of the municipality

A total of 2600 students from The nine schools of San Javier will participate in the Week of Fire Prevention held in the municipality from 10 to 14 December promoted by Fundación MAPFRE and the Association Professional Fire Engineers (APTB) with the collaboration of the Fire Extinction and Rescue Consortium of the Region of Murcia and the City of San Javier through the service of Civil Protection.

About 40 firefighters will visit, throughout the week, the schools, institutes, and the center of Aidemar where they will offer didactic and entertaining talks, supported by audiovisual material whose main objective is to help identify the risks and know how to act in a case of fire. Children will also receive a booklet of prevention with which they can multiply the message in family. The Prevention Week will also reach the Senior Center of Santiago de la Ribera.

The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, the general director of Citizen Security and Emergencies, José Ramón Carrasco; the Councilor for Security of San Javier, María Teresa Foncuberta, and Fernando Rodríguez, representative of Fundación MAPFRE, presented this morning at the City Council the initiative that will culminate on Friday 14 with the installation of "La casita de incendios". It is a inflatable structure of 400 meters to be installed in the square Spain in which it will be shown in a playful way how to prevent aOne of them is Aidemar, during the month of January.
