The fault that prevents the opening of the Estacio bridge will be solved tomorrow, Wednesday, August 1 according to the forecasts of the technicians who plan to perform the scheduled opening of 08: 00h restoring the usual opening hours of the bridge. The City Council works, however, to advance in what possible the restoration of the service in the opening of this same night at 10pm.
The breaking of a piece of the internal communication system of the bridge caused from the night of yesterday that, for safety, the own system prevented the opening maneuver. Since the detection of incident, the vessels were informed of the situation from Puerto Tomás Maestre and Salvamento Marítimo.
The City Council activated level 2 of the protocol of action before an emergency on the bridge, as only the maritime traffic in the next 24 hours of the incident. A Civil Protection vessel of San Javier has moved to both sides of the channel in the opening hours to inform the boats of the situation. Yesterday he moved to 12 people to port, after leaving their boats anchored and during today's journey to one person.
