The Department of the Environment invites swimmers to recycle and breathe

The "Recycle and Breathe" campaign invites bathers these days from the beaches of Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga del Mar Menor to deposit the container of any product that you are consuming in that moment in its corresponding container and take a deep breath later, with the satisfaction of having done the right thing.
The campaign, carried out by the Department of Environment and Ecoembes, has two uniformed environmental educators who locate people who are using lightweight containers to remind them of the importance of recycling and the advantages for the environment and health.
The councilors of Environment, Antonio Martínez and Services Public, María Dolores Ruiz visited the Barnuevo beach, where has landed the campaign that started at Castillicos beach and that will continue on August 9 at Mistral beach, in La Manga; on 16 August at Colón Beach, in Santiago de la Ribera and on August 23 in Pedruchillo Beach, from La Manga.
The Councilor for the Environment, Antonio Martínez highlighted the importance of summer to carry out this type of initiative in areas of product consumption with light packaging, as the beach environment to continue raising awareness among the public about the importance of recycling the waste we generate on a daily basis.
