The usual appointment of Jazz San Javier with Brazilian music, arrives in this edition with the singer, guitarist and composer Joao Bosco, one of the most outstanding musicians of the Brazilian song contemporary that I had not yet visited San Javier. He is Regina was the first to record her songs when the engineer Joao Bosco moves to Rio de Janeiro, determined to dedicate himself to music influenced by the sound of American jazz by Miles Davis, and roots of bossa nova with Joao Gilberto, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes, whom he met at the university, and who would end being one of the biggest influences in the celebrated lyrics of Joao Bosco.
Like the rest of his generation, he lived with the military dictatorship from Brazil, periHick Korea, among many others. The style personal, unique and eclectic by Kenny Garret, named Doctor Honoris Causa by the Berklee College of Music, will sound for the first time time at Jazz San Javier where he will perform in Quinteto formation with Vernell Brown (piano), Corcoran Holt (double bass) and Rudy Bird (percussion), three of the musicians with whom he recorded his last disco, brimming with dance rhythms, "Do your Dance" (2016) and Samuel Laviso (drums).
