The Minister of Development and the mayor of San Javier present a project to improve accessibility and continuity of bike lanes in La Manga

The improvement of accessibility, mobility and continuity of a Safer bike lane are the objectives of the first performance of "La Manga 365", in La Manga del Mar Menor with the remodeling of a section of 1.5 kilometers, between kilometer 4, at the height of Souk, up to the Eurovosa area at kilometer 5.5 of the Gran Via.
The Minister of Development and Infrastructure Patricio Valverde and the Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo prensentaron today in San Javier the works of the project that will execute the City council of San Javier, co-financed with European funds for Urban Development Sustainable and Integrated (EDUSI) and by the Autonomous Community. To also attended by the president of the Federation of People with Physical Disabilities, Famdif, Carmen Gil accompanied by staff of your technical office that has designed the project.
The works of this new section include a total of 232 actions to along 1,475 meters as the modification of 7 stops of bus to ensure the safety of travelers and avoid traffic interruptions. Also, 13 steps of transverse pedestrians to the Gran Vía and 24 parallels, and the sidewalk in four points. The new section will have ramps for avoid unevenness and eliminate obstacles in the itinerary pedestrian besides giving continuity to the bike lane. Likewise will have 13 new fords for people with disabilities, and the delimitation of six zones of pedestrian itinerary.
