The lobby of the City Hall hosts an exhibition of collective painting dedicated to Jazz

The relationship between painting and music is accentuated when entering the jazz field, the most plastic musical genre and that It has been closely linked to the visual arts. Coinciding with the beginning of the Jazz Festival of San Javier, the foyer of the City Council welcomes, from tomorrow, Friday, June 30 at 9:00 p.m., exhibition "Volum.4 Variations around Jazz" in which 17 Artists directed by Gonzalo Elvira make multiple creations with jazz as the central axis.



Gonzalo Elvira acts as artistic tutor for this group of artists based in Barcelona immersed in this project that starts from Jazz and that continues evolving in each new appointment with the public. The San Javier exhibition is the fourth stop of the project whose The first edition under the title "Jazzuela" was presented of the Barcelona Jazz Festival in 2013, followed by two more appointments in Terrasa, coinciding with its Jazz Festival, and Lleida.



The exhibition represents different facets of this musical genre, although he pays special attention to the design tradition of vinyl covers whose design enjoys a great tradition in the world of jazz. In fact, the central core of the project is a punt-vinyl box, where each of the participating artists has made a collection of ten album cover designs in which we can find from portraits of Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, or Bill Evans, among others to more conceptual works made
