The counselor Violante Tomás puts the company Verdimed as an example on equality

The company Verdimed of San Javier, with 60 percent women among its nearly 300 workers, "is a model company in measures of equality ", in the words of the Minister of Family and Equality, Violante Tomás who yesterday visited the facilities of the fruit and vegetable company, accompanied by the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, the general director of Women, Alicia Barquero and the Councilor for Women, Estíbaliz Masegosa.
The visit to Verdimed, one of the five Murcian companies that has the Equality Label at the national level, granted by the Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare, is part of the work of dissemination of the "Equality Label of the Region of Murcia "recently approved by the Government Council.
"We intend that it contributes to the excellence of the company", noted the Regional Minister in relation to the Regional Distinction, companies may use in their business operations, in addition to which will be assessed for the purpose of obtaining public subsidies and award of public contracts. Companies that have this distinction is obliged to promote equal opportunities for women and men in the organization, in addition to adhering to the initiative "Companies for a Society Free of Violence".
