Imagina 2018 opens today its doors with a work of people with mental illness dedicated to the painter Gustav Klimt

The painter Gustav Klimt stars in the work that this year has presented the association of people with mental illness, Apices, in Imagine 2018, the emerging art festival organized by the Department of Youth, that until next Sunday full of different art and reflection public spaces of the municipality.
He centenary of the death of the impulsive Austrian painter, so close to mental illness for family reasons as he reveals in a letter to his painter friend Moll, he has served the workshop artistic production directed by Mariona Simarro at the headquarters of Ápices, in Cartagena, to pay tribute and break taboos about the disease.
The work, exposed in the Usos Múltiples building, on Avenida Aviación Española, has been called "Door to Door" and consists of a set of painted doors in which artists reinterpret different Klimt paintings such as the famous "The Kiss" or "Virgin", between others.
