The Councilor for Culture, David Martínez highlights the importance of the Culture and Patronage Unit created by the Ministry

The Councilman of Culture David Martinez attended yesterday in Madrid the meeting of the Commission of Culture of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), in which the Culture and Patronage Unit of the Subdirectorate General of Cultural Industries and Patronage of the Secretary of State for Culture by Néstor Nongo, advisor technical and Head of the Unit.
He edil de Cultura de San Javier, who represents in the Commission the Region of Murcia, highlighted the importance of this initiative that aims to publicize the fiscal incentives of the current law of patronage as something positive for Culture, through an alliance between the cultural sector, companies and individuals, with tax deductions in both the IRPF and Tax of Societies by private donations contemplated in the law.
The Culture Commission of the FEMP addressed other issues related to the PLATEA program, a state program of circulation of performing arts shows in spaces of the local entities, organized by INAEM in collaboration with the FEMP. Other topics were also discussed, such as the preparation of the XIX María Moliner campaign to encourage reading in municipalities of less than 50,000 inhabitants, the participation of the FEMP in a group of work in the framework of the Culture Sector Conference for enhance the cultural use of public spaces, or a proposal of declare
