The Circle of Historical Studies was born in San Javier

The historic Barnuevo House in Santiago de la Ribera hosted today the presentation of the Circle of Historical Studies of San Javier ( CEHIS) an association that was born with the aim of studying, recover and disseminate the historical heritage of the municipality according to said its president, Antonio Sánchez Ortega during the presentation in which she was accompanied by her vice president, María Antonia Martínez, the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez.
The Circle of Historical Studies of San Javier, born with 16 partners of professional profiles different from those who join them interest in Local History, has as its main objective that of know, investigate, promote, protect, share and disseminate knowledge about the historical and cultural heritage of San Javier. Ensure that public administrations fulfill their role in the conservation of those assets and promote their recovery in cases of abandonment or loss are other objectives of the CEHIS that It also intends to collaborate with educational centers to move the interest in history to young people.
Among the first projects of CEHIS is that of creation
of a file of sound documents, which is already underway, according to
explained his vice-president María Antonia Martínez, through
testimonies of elderly people with the aim that it be a
source of knowledge and study of the entire twentieth century, addressing issues
