City Council and veterinary clinics will collaborate in the dissemination of the new regional regulations on companion animals

The mayor José Miguel Luengo and Councilor for Health Catalina Pérez met this morning with representatives of different veterinary clinics of the municipality to address different lines of collaboration on the implementation of march of various actions related to the possession of animals of company.
The Councilor for Health Catalina Pérez stressed the importance of count on veterinary professionals for their knowledge practical information about pets and their care when informing the society on the new regional regulations established by the Law of Protection and Defense of Approved Company Animals recently in the Regional Assembly.
Awareness actions and information that they intend to develop in the municipality will be related to responsible pet ownership and other aspects contemplated by the new Law relating to adoption, controls sanitation, sterilization, mutilation and euthanasia as well as forms of identification of companion animals and creation of an autonomous registry.
