International Children's Cancer Day

The Councilors of Health and Education have commemorated the Day International Childhood Cancer in the institutes of the municipality with "positive information so that young people know solidarity initiatives and be aware of the importance of investigation, "Councilor Catalina Pérez explained today, responsible for both councils, in the IES "Ruiz de Alda".
The activity has counted on the collaboration of the Association Against Cancer, of San Javier, that has installed an information table in which the students have could know the operation, the services and the objectives that move the association. Sergio Cepeda has also participated, Sports Science student, promoter of an initiative that combines sport and solidarity with cancer research as a charitable goal.
He young Sergio Cepeda, a native of Tomelloso who studies the Degree in Sports Sciences on the campus of the UMU in San Javier, offered a talk to students of 4th of ESO about their experience as promoter of a charity initiative and invited young people to put underway any activity with which to contribute either to fight against cancer and other causes.
The activity, aimed at Secondary students, is also done at the IES "Mar Minor "and in the next few days it is planned to take her to the" Sacred Heart".
